I was wondering if I can mix a 100% cotton with a kind of polyester fabric. It looks like cotton but I think it is a mixture. I am hoping some of the great people here will answer my question.
Thank-you for any help given.

You can do anything you want. But I don't mix fabrics out of preference and I prefer all cotton quilts.

This posted TEN times! Please let admin know whether or not that was your sticky trigger finger. If not, some serious site maintenance is in order. If so, they can delete the extras. Or you can go in and change the title to DELETED.

Yes. If the fabric can be washed, and treated the way the finished quilt will be treated, then yes.

No quilt police here, you can do whatever you want, but I would suggest washing fabrics first, just so you don't have some odd shrinking when its complete.

The main problem is that 100% cotton will shrink and the polyester won't. So be sure to prewash your cotton fabric.
