My mom is turning 90 in June and as she's getting older and move senile she talks about a quilt she and her two sisters were working on when she was little - it was a sunbonnet sue quilt - they had almost all the squares made and their house burnt down. She's having surgery today and it's only 50/50 she'll make it and for her birthday on June 2 and I would love to present her with a quilt with little red school houses around a few sunbonnet sue girls - it would put her over the moon - so I'm hoping to get a little help from my new friends on this message board and ask to please send me some finished squares - the only thing that needs to be the same is the love you put into them. I'm including links to a school house pattern (which of course can only be red! - just ask her) and a sunbonnet sue - if you have other patterns for her it would be lovely.

Well I've got to get ready to go to the hospital 100 miles away and see how things go - Life is so hard sometimes and yet it wouldn't be worth it if it wasn't.

Thanks
