I'm almost done with the two quilts for kids. Has anyone done the pillowcase turn to finish their Quilt? Could you tell me how you made out quilting it? Will post pictures when I am finished.

With the ones I did I just did a meander or loop-d-loops all over the quilt. I have never pillowcased a quilt.

What is pillowcasing a quilt? Is that the same as birthing a quilt?

I have only done decorative line stitching on mine - crisscross style.

I have not pillowcased any of these quilts but have centered them on the backing fabric so that there is extra fabric to turn up over the front to make the binding.

I have pillowcased my last one, turned out great. I just outlined the blocks and put an x in the middle of the blocks. I also top stitched around the quilt.......Michele

Am I understanding this correctly. You birthed your quilt and then sewed all the way around the edge? and then sewed an X in each of the blocks? On your regular sewing machine?
