i took extra pics...they are on page 2
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-160187-1.htm

there is a b/w pic also...
i couldnt find anything red to look thru

i think i have them pretty much sorted out...the ones in the center column are the ones that didnt really fit in with either the lights or darks...but the b/w makes them look light...

i am thinking i will just make sure that all the ones that end up together as medium will either be attached to a light side or dark side (in which case they will look dark against a light and light against a dark right?)

TIA

I wouldn't use the medium - just the light & dark

Great job with the black and white, see how much it helps?

There are two mediums that you can throw in with the darks, left column top, and right column second from the top.

You have a LOT of lights, and not too many darks. All together you have a LARGE selection, no idea how much actual yardage is there.

I personally would not use any of the mediums unless you need the yardage - in which case you are going to need more dark to balance it out (unless you want a light heavy log cabin, perhaps the one with wide and narrow strips?).

Does that make sense?

Can't wait to see it, I love scrappy log cabins.

What size strips do you plan to use?

I would save the mediums for something else.

i am going to make the strips either 1 1/2" or 2"...i cant really decide...

for the most part the flowers are spaced close but i dont want to end up with a strip here and there that only has one or two flowers on it lol

might make one more trip to the fabric store in a couple weeks to see if they have any different florals...will definitely keep my eyes open for more of the darker florals...

have one UFO to finish on thanksgiving break from school then can start to cut out my next one to work on
