Default Mother & Son Project

Okay, my grown son wanted a batik quilt so when he was home at Christmas, we spent 4 DAYS! arranging the 9-patch blocks into a kinda Disappearing 9 patch quilt with "his modifications". We had fun and he only changed his mind at least 20 times on the patterns and arrangement. However, he left with the final layout laying on the family room floor. I sewed it all together, put on a wonderful backing and stitched in the ditch on the blocks, hand stitched the binding and here is the results...Happy Birthday son!!!

Beautiful, I love it and the colors, and I know he will love it, too. Glad you were able to enjoy doing it together.

You are sure blessed, having time with your son and creating a quilt together. God be willing, I hope I have that opportunity soon. Batiks are all beautiful. Grace

Great story to go along with a wonderful quilt - he will appreciate it even more knowing what it took to make it.
