I have been searching the threads looking at mug rugs and seeing great one. I have seen ones done like in so many different styles, all well done and beautiful, some funny, some sexy, some seasonal, all types. What I have yet to find is size. What size do you make a mug rug? It may seem silly not to know this but I have never seen them in a craft show. Could someone post the size of their mug rugs please.

I've made some in the range of 5 1/2 x 9 1/2 some larger and some smaller, but I like this size best! I think it's a personal preference and you can do whatever size you like. Just have fun doing them!!

Thanks, larger than a coaster, about the sixe of a store bought potholder. I have got to try them, costers just don't seem to work, that or my family and friends are messier than most.

Danece, glad to see I wasn't the only one who didn't know the size to make mug rugs. I have lots to make for family and my DMIL friends. Most of her friends are in their 70s or 80s so hands are not as steady as they once were.

people seem to make these for either coasters or candle mats so the sizes vary from about 4"-5" for coasters, up to about 12" for candle mats. make them any size you like that will fit your desired use. :-D
