About a week ago I mentioned getting this sewing machine at the auction for $10. It is a Kenmore and came with the cabinet. I finally got the chance to try it out last night and it works beautifully!!

the fabric was another fine. My daughter and I split it and it cost of $5 each! We both got approximately 100 yards!!! All cotton too!! I think I got her hooked on this auction. She wants to go again!!

I used my camera phone to take the pictures so they are not as clear.

Wonderful buys on the fabric. What will you ever do with all of that?

In my area, there is an auction every wednesday. It is mainly outdoors and if you go early enough you can see everything that is there. I also got a treadle machine one time for $20, plus an antique rocker recliner that I am having problems finding the era it is from. It has the fold out foot rest also. My plans are to redo the whole thing. Since I do upholstery work it won't be a big deal to replace the fabric on it.

I love going to the auction, but there is so much stuff there that I want to get...........I would go broke.......but the stuff there goes so cheap and you can get some really good buys. Once I went and got some hose reels. The guy told me that I also got a sofa, chair, scales, fold up chairs, mirrors and all that for just $10. I plan on recovering the sofa and chair.

WOW, GREAT FINDS. That machine looks like one I had years ago although my cabinet wasn't as nice as yours. And all that fabric for $5. You really cleaned up. May in Jersey
