My 10 year old granddaughter has been visiting us a lot since my daughter is moving next door. She has been wanting to learn how to quilt for sometime so I sat her down with a box of blocks and showed her how to use my machine. My DH sews on the one next to it. Well, she was clicking right along and so was he. I woas working on the computer right behind them. It wasn't long before I heard him giving her pointers. Before I knew it he had completely taken over her sewing lessons. hehehe!! I didn't mind. I kinda thought it was cute! Later he said, "you know I didn't get much done on my quilt tonight. I was too busy helping Ashley." Now, aint that a kicker?

That's so awesome, on more than one level. She's spending one-on-one time with Grandpa, and she's learning that sewing/quilting isn't a just a "girl" hobby!

I can just picture it now. But just think of all the wonderful memories that were made tonight.
