Default My fat jeans into a levi quilt

Hey I was wondering if anyone had a fun pattern or suggestion on a Levi quilt. After losing 90 lbs I have a lot of jeans and I think that would be a good use for them. I have done just a 6 inch square before but I'd really like to have something a little different. Maybe even adding other fabric to it or something. HELP....

congrats on losing the weight. Many great ideas to use jeans, they make great purses and bags, Hope you keep the weight off! That is always the hardest part!

How about the fake cathedral window with raggedy edges. It looks really good with brights between the melons.

I always like jeans & plaid flannel together. Probably not as long-lasting, but super warm & fun to have the different textures. Could be fun to do a houndstooth design with the jeans as the background & flannel/cotton as the "tooth" design -- or vice versa. I also saw once a Dresden plate done in overdyed denim. It was done as one of those ottoman-style pillow pouf thingies (sorry, not sure what they're actually called -- you can stuff them with shredded batting or foam or anything that's a little bit stiffer than regular fiber fill), but I don't see why you couldn't just make it smaller & use it as blocks in a quilt -- or just do one as a large applique.

Congrats on the weight loss! That's amazing. I'm trying to lose weight, too & hope to draw some inspiration from you to start making some progress. Good luck on the quilt. Should seem easy compared to losing all that weight!

All I have are my skinny jeans. I wonder if they will ever fit again. Too bad they shrunk so much.

Hey! My jeans "shrunk", too. I think it's an epidemic!

Google rag quilts and you will see many kinds are being made today.

Back in the 70's they used to embroider on jeans - maybe you could find some embroidery pictured you like and combine them with flannel to make a patchwork quilt.

Here's an example of the cathedral window idea:

Here's one from the QB where the denim provides both backing and sashing:
