    Default My first eBay score

I've bought things on eBay before, but I pretty much always do Buy It Now. Last night, I happened to see a Moda charm pack up for auction. The current bid was $5.84 plus $2.99 for shipping. I went ahead and bid $6.34, thinking there was no way I'd win... but I did! I swore when I started quilting that I wouldn't buy fabric without having a plan for it... but I can't resist! I suspect I'm not alone.

I am the same way with Missouri Star Quilt Co - they had daily deals - I have to stop opening their emails - I am about 2 years behind in sewing the material I already have - LOL

Wow-Congradulations! No, you certainly are not alone buying fabric without a plan. That's how we get such big stashes!! But, I for one, love to be able to pull from my own stash when wanting to start a project-especially, a fairly small one-like purses or totes etc. I don't drive, so DH is my "chauffeur" and it's nice I don't have to wait to get to a fabric store when the bug hits me (which is daily!). Besides, I love to just oogle over my stash-I have it well-organized.

Someone mentioned a casserole carrier the other day, so I'm thinking of using my surprise score to make this: http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/projec...carrier_4.html

Yes, I was thinking the same thing! I will never live long enough to get even 1/2 way thru the projects I want to make. Many of them are waiting in their project bags, with pattern, fabric, etc.. And that doesn't include all the rest of the stash waiting for a project assignment! Plus, I can't stop buying more! I was good not buying for a while, until I got the bug to make purses, now, I see some sort of bag/tote in nearly every fabric I see! Now, I am buying a yard of fabric at every shop I go to on our San Diego shop hop!! 7 yesterday, 7 more to go on Friday! HELP!!
