Just awesome! Agree with Jan about the thread, but also like the variegated idea, too. Choices, choices!!

I love your quilt! I think any of the previous suggestions would look good. Purple variegated would probably be my first choice.

I did a similar quilt and used a multi colored variegated. If you would like to see mine it is here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...d-t133646.html .

Variegated thread or a neutral gray if variegated gets too expensive

Your quilt is very beautiful. It appears that you have a multitude of suggested options. I think I would choose one color and use it in several shades for the quilting. Your quilting design could be intricate-or not so much. I would use all black on the back only if you have no tension problems so you wouldn't have black on the front. If you have color on the back you have the opportunity for a secondary design opportunity. I am not a big fan of variegated threads when there is such variety of color in the patches.

I agree though I would select the green--oh how beautiful and nice job!!!

I agree. Best to go to a store and dribble the thread over the quilt. That is what I do when in doubt. Be sure to re-clip the thread and put it back neatly when done.
