What a cutie! I can see a lot of great memories in your future, and competition for your scraps!

What a little angel! :) I agree with Izy. She's got the hand positioning down juuuust right! :D

I think you've got the perfect little "mini-group" going littlehud. You two will have tons of fun together.

She knows where I keep my scraps and is already using them. I guess there is no scrappy quilt in my future. Thats OK. It's a small price to pay for the fun I have watching her sew. Maybe she needs to make a scrap quilt for her baby doll. :)

AWWW! That is such a sweet picture and a beautiful granddaughter. I bet she'll have so much fun sewing. One of my nieces is going to be 6 this June and she would absolutely love one of these....I might have to check into that soon. lol.

My daughter wants a sewing machine too. We're going to be starting on her sewing lessons this summer. I need to do some research on lil' machines.

You and your grandaughter will make special memories together and maybe a few quilts too???? It's the perfect age to get them started if they show any interest at all in sewing. They learn so quickly at that age.

My grandaughter is just 22 mo. but I'm already thinking about how I'm going to try to peak her interest early on so she will want to learn to quilt like grandma does.

Many happy sewing memories to you and your precious grandaughter.

Deb...

Those pics are so cute! I have been considering buying my DD a small sewing machine. I looked at a few on eBay around Christmastime, but I didn't look around enough. Iwasn't able to sew at that time bc of the baby, so I decided against it. Baby has settled down some (and is 3 years old) and will play or watch TV a bit. I've been sewing, and DD has been sewing by hand. I almost bought her a little Singer at a yard sale last summer, but it was ratty...quite literally. I was glad I looked closer. I guess it had been in an out-building or something bc the manual was eaten-up and the cords had been eaten into and bare wire was present! I was disgusted. I would've been ashamed to have put something for that up for sale! YUCK! Not to mention it was dangerous! I had almost bought it without taking it out of the box bc it basically looked NEW in an old box, I mean, there was a chance it might not work, but it probably could've been fixed......I'm so happy I took it out. I hate anything that's been ratted-on!
