my hubby's father's day gift from a quilter (me)

This year for Mother's day, I received my very own 8 drawer tool chest! DH keeps it in the garage so for Father's Day, he received fabric, and embroidery CD, thread, a pattern and spools of cording and beaded trip.......I can get mad or two can play at this game.........

    LOL!

I bought my husband a Dremel tool for Christmas but I really got it for me, because I collect and restore vintage sewing machines. And also, I figured if I bought him fabric he'd see right through that.

Ha! Never surrender! LOL I never started giving my DH anything for Father's Day. The kids did after they were old enough to know what it was. Same with me on Mother's Day.
    I love my life!

Many years ago for Christmas I got my husband a round brass stamp holder (for a roll of stamps) from Lillian Vernon which was monogrammed with my initials. He has never let me forget it!!

DH and I don't exchange gifts, including Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthday, anniversary or Christmas. I come in and say "Look what you bought me for ________________." And he takes it out of the box, asks questions about how it works and how I'm going to use it. He saves all his gifts for his annual guitar workshop registration fees and air fare. In fact, I left him at the airport at 6:30 a.m. yesterday morning.

This is what he "bought" me for Mother's Day. http://www.joann.com/ottlite-13w-des...lamps&start=22 I had stopped appliqueing after my cataract surgery, because reading glasses just weren't doing the job for hand work. I was at a retreat and an applique teacher did a 2-hour demo for those who consider it the "A" word, and listened to her as she talked about her magnifying light. I bought it on the way back home. Luckily, it was 50% off.
