MY INSPIRATION
#1
My MOM, Sally, started quilting at age 16. She had 7 kids, 16 grandkids, 30 great grandkids and 2 great, great grandkids. She made quilts for all of us plus for extended family and friends, and lap quilts for the nursing homes. Most of them were hand pieced and hand quilted. She passed away Sept. "09 age 87. I am "sally's girl".

Seeing your mom made me once again remember my grandmother who was also a quilter. She had a treadle and as a young girl I used to sit on the floor and "help" her by pumping the treadle with my hands :) :) She was such an awesome lady never once told me I was more of a hindrence than a help. I recently bought a treadle and named her "Miss Minnie" after my grandmother. Most assume I name her that because the machine is a Minnesota but that's not the reason. My grandmother was "Miss Minnie Lee McKee" and I miss here greatly. Sally's girl your mother looks much like I remember my grandmother.
