HELP.......need to know how to get iron-on residue OFF of iron......somehow it managed to squirm into middle area of iron face plate.....what magic potion will remove this...Thanks ( & we will not ask just how this happened as I am trying to blame my evil twin )

Iron on top of a dryer sheet! Works GREAT for me--I can't tell you how many times.....

Mom used to put salt on a brown paper sack and swirl the hot iron around on it. It worked for her. Non-teflon iron though.

There is also stuff for cleaning your iron sole plate. Can buy it at Walmart, etc. Works good. Some items are more pricey than others. :)

I buy a tube of cleaner made especially for irons. It has always worked well for me.

I used some cleaner in a tube too. Got it on sale at Joanns and just keep it on hand now. Ever iron the wrong side of a fusible?

I use a fine smooth round honing stone. Iron glides like new every time I use it.

I use a wet a 'regular' magic eraser... turn on iron wait till hot then iron the magic eraser.. works like a charm!
