Default Will new cutter take old blades?

I finally bought the Fiskars rotary cutter because it's more ergonomic looking but a friend said it won't take my Olfa blades (which I still have many new ones). Before I open it I thought I'd ask here so I can take it back if I have to. So does anyone know if it matters which blades go in this cutter? They are both the 45mm size, so I don't see why not.

nether do I. I've used all brands even carpet cutters in my Fiskars without problems.

I have Olfa and Fiskars cutters and use all kinds of blades, even Harbor Freight, and they all work in the cutters.

I've used Fiskars blades in my Olfa cutter, so it must work the other way around as well. I read somewhere that the Martelli cutter and blades weren't compatible with other brands.

Ok, good. I'm going to open the package and try them out. Thanks!

Yes, I would try it out and see if they work. I see no reason that they won't.

I have a Martelli cutter (love it) and use whatever blades I have without a problem.

Sorry to put that misinformation out there. I shouldn't repeat everything I hear!

I love my Martelli gripper ring, so have a high opinion of their products. I've wondered how their cutter differs from the Olfa.

I'd bet they work just fine. She probably wanted you to spend more money!~
