I think an agent might think you could stab someone in the jugular vein with that spool pin;> Cute though and if you can get a few uses out of it, why not...:>

I think you may be right about the TSA agent...ya never know, I might threaten to terminally quilt someone! LOL :lol:

It is cute. I don't even know if he thought I would ever use it, he just thought it was cute. But hey! If I need an emergency repair during a blackout...which happens frequently in the country...Oh gee! Oh, what a cutie!! That looks like something DH would buy for me, thinking it would be perfect to take camping with us. Bless their hearts, hubbies mean well.

I travel with Kitty (my mechanical Janome) all the time. she fits in my carryon and slides on her side under the seat in front of me. Just tell the TSA people before they scan your carryon that you have a sewing machine in there. They usually look at it through the xray more because I think they're curious than because it looks "dangerous!"

Don't you just love that 830!!! My DH bought me the 820, I have a 180 so don't need the embrordery part. I am sure loving mine.
