Wow, cool machine for a great price. I, too, have a 1530 that I love. I hope you can find someone with a manual to share. Will your 1530 presser feet work on this model as well? Have fun with your new baby.

What a great deal!! The foot controller is the most expensive missing part. You can expect to pay $150 for a replacement, but that's still a wonderful price for this machine, all total.

I have bought replacement foot controllers on Ebay before, with good results.

I'm still sewing on my old Bernina 830 from the 1970's. They made such great machines.

Many thrift stores separate the accessories away from the machines; sell the machine for 24.99 and the accessories for 7.99 they can make more money that way. Also people steal the accessories all the time. Crazy. Anyway, did you do a walk through of the store to see if they were in another area? Also, check in the electronics area - in the tubs of cords -for your foot controller. They sometimes end up mixed in with the other junk because people in the back think they are game controller foot pedals.
