Default My new Lizzie!

I just got my new longarm- a Tin Lizzie 18ESP with the Phoenix frame. The tech was here for 9 hours setting it all up and going over everything with me. I've never long arm quilted before and I definitely need to practice so much more before I can attempt to stitch on an actual quilt. I'm very excited and so far very happy with my purchase. Of course it didn't take long for my cat to decide it was her new hammock...

congrats! a very nice setup. if you want to keep the cat off, i've heard that putting a piece of foil on your fabric when you are not sewing.

oh how I remember the cats LOVING to lay in the " hammock " of the frame, just beware that as soon as they lay on it you will need to fix the tension on the rolls because they will sag it and throw your quilting off !

Congrats! Enjoy!
I have heard that it's a great idea to layer some fabric and batting and go at it for practise, then, re-layer some more top fabric on and re-quilt (and repeat as necessary) for practise without using new fabrics etc every time.
