I am a bit of a rebel. And it is said confession is good for the soul, so, here goes!

I do not pre-wash my fabric.
I often piece batting scraps together for large quilts. (I hate waste!)
I use fusible web to correct small "oopsies".
I fantasize about quilting!
I can not resist fat quarters, especially brightly colored bundles!
I quilt in my pajamas all day on Saturdays
I love, really love, free motion quilting

Any other confessions out there?

I use blankets instead of batting and backing.
I use old mattress pads instead of batting.
I don't pick out the small threads if I have a (god forbid) repair to make.
Half the time I'm not even aware of the content of my thread because it has been donated and many of the labels have fallen off.
I don't vacuum the house before company comes over if I have a valid project underway.
I use paper-plates and forks so I don't have to wash dishes.
I have told my dad that I wasn't feeling well just to avoid going over to my parents house when it is Polka Time on their TV.
I have let my cat eat tuna because I had spent the last of my money on a piece of fabric instead of cat food.
I have used the front load washers at the laundromat when I have needed to wash a rag-quilt, even though the sign specifically says DO NOT.
Is that enough? I probably could go on and on and on. :-)
The worst one of all, sometimes even I ignore my own advice.

I never use a pattern so far(I'm not making works of art, I'm just having fun), I just let the quilt evolve as I go... but I feel more creative and I'm motivated to move on to the next project so it's not too bad - oh and I stink at my 1/4", I usually just make everything fit in spite of some variances.

It's nice to see that I'm not the only one that the fabric/quilting police can lock up.

I do not pre-wash my fabric.
I often piece batting scraps together - I do a lot of QAYG and it's a great way to use up scrap batting.
I have resorted to pizza delivery when I just really didn't want to stop quilting in order to cook.
I have bought mass quantities of fabric on sale (read: Joann's 50% off of 50% off sale) and sneaked it in the house when DH was oblivious.
There have been frustrating quilting days that I have un-sewn more than I have sewn.
I made a quilt for a friend and his wife (finished in November 2010) and STILL have yet to meet up with them to give it to them - and they have no idea I made it for them - they live only an hour away.

I don't really care what type thread I'm using to piece or quilt as long as it is the right color & weight that I want and my machine will behave with it.

I have used Fray Check to fix seams that popped in the wash. I wasn't always as consistent with my 1/4" seams as I am now.

I have and will continue to use good sheets for backing. What else are you supposed to do with a flat sheet that has lost it's fitted sheet?

I often piece batting for smaller projects from scrap batting.

The "stuffing" in my tablerunners is practice sandwiches from different quilting designs and/or threads.

I will shop at any store that sells cotton fabric and I will buy any fabric that is acceptable to my standards and is a fair price including used cotton clothing.

I bought a queen size acrylic blanket from the clearance aisle at Walmart to use as batting "in a pinch." Hubby thinks it's to keep my feet warm at night since it's laying across the bottom of our bed---ssshhhh!

I pass time at work daydreaming about quilting.

I fantasize about cutting up people's clothes while they are wearing them if I like the colors and suspect the clothing is cotton.

I play with fabric at my work space. There is a pile of fabric under my desk right now that I haven't caressed and folded yet. The boss won't leave. I'm irritated.

I don't do patterns.

The smell of fabric is soothing.

I piece batting because I'm not trying to spend fabric money on it.

I'm quilting...I will eat later, maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow...just let me finish...
