When I fist joined, I said that I used a machine quilting frame with a Jannome machine. Someone asked me for details on that and I can't find the question. But I was home in Mt Clemens over the Christmas holidays and checked the names on my equipment. My frame is a GMPQ Pro by Grace which can be set up from Baby Quilt to Queen Size. My husband put it up as a Queen because he didn't want to be moving it. My machine is Jannome 1600 P wih a 9" throat. It is recommended that you confine your squares to 4 inches. I haven't been able to use it as much as I like since I usually live up north and only visit my sewing room. But I do really like the free motion quilting. When I get a chance. i purchased it at the Novi sewing Expo from Gall Sewing in East Lansing.

I don't think it was me who asked but thanks for the info - I have the 6600P and am considering getting a frame for it. I was wondering about the restriction in quilting space because of the rolled quilt through the throat and your 4" square recommendation is very helpful. :-D

I am originally from UPNorth, moved down to Macomb County 20 years ago. Always with the plan to return to Standish when we retired. We did, and I love the scenery (we are on the Bay) but miss the conveniences of the Metro Area. Right now, we have the best of both worlds because we can't sell our MC house. So I visit often. It takes me a long time to adapt to change.
