my search for a sewing machine
#12
I got the Sapphire 870 for Xmas & am enjoying alot of its options that the 830 also have. I have had a husqvarna since 1998 & would certainly recommend them. The machine I had just prior to this was a Kenmore with 70 different computerized stitches & it was just fine at the time, but now I LOVE the 10" opening it just makes the stuffing of the quilt/wallhanging so much easier when you're machine quilting. IMHO

Just put my 830 in for servicing and am trying to use my cheapey Brother with no bells and whistles. It is horrible.
My 10 in throat on the 830 makes such a difference. I love my machine and want it back soon.
My Brother was only 125 dollars at Tuesday Morning. It is a quilting machine and even came with a table and a walking foot but no needle down or stay stitch or any other quilting helpers.
You get what you pay for.
The larger throat is the best thing a quilter can have.
