Just getting back into quilting I need to buy rulers. I have a 12 1/2" square one and a 6 x 24 ruler. What rulers do you have and use regularly and consider essential?

I really like the 6 1/2 inch square up, it comes in mighty handy and is inexpensive!

I did just find the 6 1/2" ruler in one of my old Nancy Martin how-to books!

I love the June Taylor Shape Cut Ruler, the biggest you can afford the better!

It cuts strips, squares, triangles and diamonds so easily in mass quanities. Kind of like chain stitching.

My teacher at my quilt shop had me use it on my borders and I loved it so much I went out and bought 2.

Here is a demo of the product:

my newest favorite is the olfa frosted 6x12

a joy to use, plus it's a real multi-tasker. the angle lines radiate from the center so it works as a strip cutter, for triangles, diamond, and other shapes, and as a "square in a square" ruler.
