    It is such a joy when we find things like that to bring back such wonderful memories. Your Mom was being close to you and that is a treasure in itself. Enjoy every stitch

    I believe it was definitely a loving gift from your DM. I'm happy that you were able to find this treasure on that day above all the others. I'm happy also that you have her quilting things as well as some quilts. My DM made utilitarian quilts, which were used up and worn out by the time I came along, so the only thing I have of hers that she made is a set of pillowcases which she embroidered. She taught me when I was 6 years old how to do embroidery and I'm so glad she did.
