What a true treasure you found on a special day. I truly believe it was a special gift for you from her. A year after my DM passed, Dad (now 92) was finally ready to have her clothing cleared out & ask me to do it for him. I found a dress that I had made her when I was in high school over 50 years ago. It was wrapped in plastic. What a treasure that was for me to find knowing she had kept it all those years. Enjoy your new treasures. They are a wonderful Blessing from above.

My mil is 92 we just cleaned out her home as she has moved to an Assisted Living facility. There are 5 daughters but none quilt, so I inherited "all " of her quilting room.... it is amazing.. She didn't use a rotary cutter... so I have many templates... lots of boxes of dresdans and square that she cut... She was a hand quilter and I got her quilting frame... such a treasure... I know exactly how you feel....
