    Default Mystery Quilts

Several times a year our guild hosts a PPM day, Past Presidents' Mystery quilt. We are given very vague information about the quilt, only cutting instructions and a few suggestions. But we are wined and dined and they even do our pressing while we sew. What's not to love.

Charm squares or 5 inch pieces was all the info that was given, plus a length of sashing. I had charm squares, after several years of exchanging them so I grabbed ALL my Blues and Greens. (I had been using them in my Dear Jane)

This is a lap quilt. So far this is what I have come up with. I COULD cut material and make it bigger but that seems to defeat my purpose here. I could add another colour?

SO this is a simple colour progression here. (I know there is one incorrect rotation in the pic in the upper left and there are a couple with a very bold print.

i like the overall design. i would keep it to blues and greens unless you have a close version of one of them. the print in the bottom left is just too bold/different from the feel of the rest imho.

Oh thank you for the idea. I was thinking of using some five inch charm squares with one light strip. I might just put two! Love what you've done with them!

Cute! I wouldn't add another color as it's great the way it is!

I like what you have done. If lap size is good for you I would leave it and you have satisfied your initial intention of using up some charms.

Looks like the Missouri* Falling Charms quilt. I like the way you have done the colour progression. The dark through the center looks like a staircase. I wonder what a black cat silhouette climbing the stairs would look like?

I really like this. I am always looking for quick quilts to make and this one looks like it would be a quick one. Especially if you have charm packs to use so you don't have to cut the 5" charms first.
