I have been lucky...no problems ordering fabric or patterns on line.
If they do not refund your money write to your credit card company. They will remove it from your bill. I have done it several times for poor service and poor quality product.

I order on line alot.
The fastest is Quilt in a Day, they even tell you when it will be shipped.
Fabric Depot called to tell me they were out of one item and if I wanted to hold the whole order till that item was coming in the next week.
Connecting Threads also tells you what day they will ship.

Yes they have charged my card and I still haven't recieved and no credit yet. I will e-mail again today about this I already told them credit and cancel, I am highly disappointed in this company and I'm not the only one. But on the bright side of all of this with the fab shop hop I saw Bonnie Blue and they have all sorts of 1800 fabric. So I guess you all know where I'll be shopping.

For everyone who wanted to know she did credit my account but I would have like an explaination to what had happened. Oh well, at least I got my money back.

Some of the online fabric "shops" are actually an individual operating out of their home. If life comes up, your order may be delayed. That may be why previous orders were shipped promptly and subsequent orders were delayed. At the very least, communication would have been nice.

I've had much success ordering online, but every once in a while you'll encounter a dud.
