I saw this quilt on another post from a quilt show and love this quilt. I would like to make it. Does anyone know the name of this pattern?

original photo posted here (8th one down)

Thanks,

Looks like something Judy Niemeyer would do, but I looked and didn't see this pattern...Go to www.quiltworx.com and take a look, you might find something similiar.....

The magazine I have it in says it's the Virginia Star block from the 1880's
It's on my to do list too. :)

I think Woody is right - I think it's a Virginia Star. My first thought was Carpenter's Wheel, but some of the points go the wrong way. Same for the Star of Bethlehem - it's very similar, but the images I found on Google show some of the points differently. However, I did find several quilts that looked exactly the same when I googled Virginia Star.

Good luck! It's a beautiful quilt!
