Default Name of this quilt pattern?

Does anyone know the name of this quilt pattern? I went back and found the post but it appears the person is no longer active on the board. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a book of Lone Star patterns and that looks like one of them. If I can locate the book it probably has the name. I'll look when I get home from work.

It very easily could be an original design. The main medallion is a lone star and the piecer used a modified NY Beauty block as the setting squares in between each ray of the star. Judy Neimeyer of Quiltworx does this with many of her patterns but this doesn't look like one of hers.

Sorry, I don't know but can say two things... First, its probably paper pieced (which I rarely do) and Second, if you don't find the exact same pattern check out the website for Phillips Fiber Art. Check out Cheryl Phillip's Squedge rulers and patterns and you might find something very similar that is pieced. I have many of her rulers and love them. The rulers come with patterns and there are additional free patterns on her website. Some of the patterns for purchase include the ruler. (They're almost addictive. Projects look difficult but are pretty easy.) Good Luck. Jan

I agree that the center of the quilt is a Lone Star, but I think the other blocks are 1/4 of a compass block such as this https://www.google.com/search?q=Lone...QsW8TuRAqoM%3A or maybe one of the other compass quilts shown here https://www.google.com/search?q=Lone...attern&imgrc=_

    edited to add:
This block needs a bit of modifying but it seems to be the closest to what you are looking for https://www.google.com/search?q=Lone...-DfPqLFBYBM%3A

Another compass that looks very similar https://www.google.com/search?q=Lone...oH3shfHevOM%3A

Thank you all for your help and the links. Lots of beautiful quilts there. It does look a lot like the middle link from Barb in Louisville. I can now see where the Lone Star is mixed with the NY Beauty block. I like the combination. I think it adds a lot to the Lone Star quilt.

That is Quiltsmart's Mariner's Star pattern, I remember it well because it's on my bucket list. You can find it at Quiltsmart.com
