Default What are you doing this weekend?

Good morning. Just thought I would start this thread before I head to the sewing room. I'm hoping to finish a quilt today and then start a small project or two. Once this quilt is done, I'll only have one UFO left, I think. Of course, that one UFO is a king sized quilt that needs to be sandwiched and finished! Hopefully I'll be in the sewing room most of the day. After church tomorrow, I'm heading to Aunt Ruth's Quilt Shop to sign up for some of their upcoming quilt classes. Then back home and maybe some more quilting. Big plans for the weekend, let's see how well it turns out!

Good morning, Heather. I'm going to be working on a quilt for my granddaughter. It's lavender with Tinkerbells and lots of embroidery. Hope she likes it.

I just spend 3 days out of town with my mom, got home last night, so first I have to grocery shop for a few perishables, then I am going to deliver a comissioned baby quilt that is finally finished, then home to sew on my newest scrappy quilt. Tomorrow I plan to sew all day and have a "pajama day."

Good morning! The snow is coming down but it really doesn't matter. This is the very first day of my retirement and it feels like pure bliss. Have yet to get out of my bathroom and am enjoying my second cup of tea. Believe I'll change into sweats and baste my bowtie table topper, done in soft colors of taupe, coral and aqua. Promised husband a pan of homemade cinnamon rolls too. Life couldn't be better. So much time, so many quilts!

Two of the grandkids are over, they enjoy sewing with me, so we might just do that. They both want to make a quilt. DGD (9) has already started hers. DGS (11) is still looking in books for his. Oh what fun!!

How about if I come help you with sandwiching your king size quilt and then you come here to help me with my Calking size quilt? I have to cut the batting still and mark the quilting lines. It just isn't happeing. It has been at this phase for 1 1/2 weeks now and I need to get this done for DDs wedding June 2. In the mean time I have signed up for about 8 swaps, done one lap quilt top, the top and sandwiched the quilt for quilters swap quilt and done one top for a baby quilt. Anything to get out of quilting. This is where I get stuck at.

I'm hoping to finish quilting and binding my quilt today. I had it quilted once before, was not happy with it so I took out all the stitches and am doing it again. Once this is complete I'm going to start 2 wall/lap quilts for gifts.

I plan on finishing the last 3 donation quilts - do some gardening (weeds ugh), food shop, and maybe straighten up the fabric in the closet, and put a bunch of it for sale online.
