As I was giving 1 of my machines a good cleaning and oiling this morning it dawned on me that I call my 2 my girls. Well they are both Brother machines, should I be calling them my boys? LOL!! They do not have individual names as of yet.
I have noticed that a lot of you give yours girly names. How many of you have a Brother machine but gave it a girls name?

I was gifted a Brother machine and call her Sweetie, never thought about it, nah she'll stay my sweetie. She doesn't do much more than just a straight or zigzag stitch but she is my go to machine.

My one and only Brother machine no longer is with us.
She (not he) came up lame with a bent shaft.
I had her for over ten years and she wasn't an expensive machine, just a machine I used daily all these years and I just wore her out.
I never named her.
Now I use my Singers who all have names, girls names.

Blessings,
Sandi

Only machine I have named is my Gammill. When I bought it (gently used and loved), I had to mess with the tension. I kept muttering to myself 'righty tighty, lefty loosey' Guess what I named her? Yup! Lucy!

My Brother machine is called Bud. It has been a good reliable machine. Not expensive and have used it off and on for 9 years. It is the only machine that I have a walking foot for and I also do a lot of FMQ on him.

My trusty Bernina 1090 is Betty. Her full name is Betty Bernina. My relatively new Bernina 830 is Big Bertha!

You could think of Brother as the surname as Karen does with her Bernina. That way your machine could be either a boy or a girl.

Is your 830 the new embroidery machine? If so, it IS big!

I tried one out at my dealer when they were having a demo day. Wow, what a machine!
