Does anyone have a pattern or just give me some ideas to use about "55" ties for a lap quilt.

Here's my favorite!

You could adjust the size for the number of ties you have I would think. Even better if you can get some more ties. 78 would be good then you could make it 13 blocks total.
I found a lot of ties at church thrift shops for 25 cents each.

I use the strip piece method on muslin foundation. This goes real fast and you can arrange the blocks in different designs. Moosegirl

Not sure who off the top of my head, but someone just posted pics of a beautiful "Fancy Fans Tie Quilt". That's a great idea. You should check out the pictures.

Moosegirl; this quilt is "outstanding" You are one talented lady. I have already removed all seams from my ties (is that the correct way?) If I am doing this correct I will continue and see what I end up with similar to yours. Can you come back with what each of your squares measured?

I sent you a PM with instructions. But there are lots of techniques for crazy quilt blocks. I like to make two piles of large scraps and sew together - one from each pile -2zys then cut them a part and make two piles to sew - 4zys keep sewing until you have a good size piece of created fabric to cut into blocks or wearable art. There are some paper pieced patterns out to if you like that method. Moosegirl
