After taking part in a I SPY swap here, I am making a 'matching block' I SPY quiilt for my granddaughter. As, and I can't imagine why..lol.. :) ... I have noticed while I'm sewing my strips together...that all of the blocks aren't a perfect 4 x 4 in size. I have put a 1 inch strip between the blocks and will put a 1 inch strip between the rows. I have sewn two of them together and notice it really isnt straight. Should I somehow even up the rows of blocks to be straight before I sew the stips to them?
Does this make sense???????
Thanks for your help...you are all great quilters!!!

Yes, I know what you are talking about. You will have problems if you don't square them up first. Sorry, but bite the bullet now, or you might be disappointed with the outcome. . . . .

Yes to save yourself time , fix as much as you can now . Some of the blocks are off in size ,although we try our best to make sure they are the same size .
Be sure and post pics... we love pictures

OK..to square them up....I would square the whole row as it is since I've already sewn 16 rows of 12 blocks with the borders already added??
PLEASE...dont tell me..ok..tell me if you must...that I dont need to take everything apart??

I don't see any other way. Each block has to be individually squared up. The blocks have to be the same size so the blocks will fit together like they should.
