    Need baby quilt ideas

My beloved niece is pregnant after several years of fertility treatments. It's a girl AND an excuse to make an adorable quilt.

I have been hoarding polka dot fabrics for years and realized this may be the perfect time to use them, but I am uninspired by patterns I have considered.

I am open to ideas from one and all, whether you have made the quilt or just think it would make a great polka dot baby quilt.

    Any thoughts?

Does she like cats? I've seen a really cute cat quilt in polka dots.

All of the above sound really cute, but if it were me, I'd make a GFG, each flower different colored polka dot fabric with yellow centers, maybe a pretty green running between and connecting them! Of course, I'm addicted to hexies! But I do think that would be really cute, and definitely girly!

How about simple squares of the polka dot fabric with a different large circle appliquéd to the centers? The polka dot fabrics would look good in a chevron quilt as well. MSQC has a new video of a chevron quilt that looks like a herringbone pattern.

Chevron quilts are really neat. There are so many panels out there that are just simply adorable. Good Luck.

Oh, I think it worked! So excited. I collected polka dots for this quilt when we travelled. Turned out so cute. I used red minkee as the backing. I made it for a little DGD. She used it when she was at our house. She we hold it around her and just roll up in it! For some reason she didn't take it home with her, I don't know why, but it was her choice when she was about 2-3 years old.

Love the first one I.e. The polka dot bikini that has the pattern available on crafty.
I made a baby quilt with disappearing 9 patch and made it into an I spy quilt by having 5 blocks animals etc. the other 4 could be your polka dot fabrics. Do you know if she plans on using it or hanging it for decorations? Might be good to find out as it would influence the kind of quilt you might make.
