Default need help with border ideas - or not!

This is my Bonnie Hunter split nine patch leader/ender challenge quilt. I saw this layout and thought it was so cool. Reminds me of a dahlia. My first thought was to do a color around to solidify the flower, my purple, and green next for leaves and I thought maybe brown if I were to do another border, like a stem. Then I found the black with green and was looking at that when my husband came up with the idea of a cream/white/tan to pick up the neutrals - OK. What do you'all think? I don't have to have another border, just asking

If you are going to add another border, which it doesn't really need it, unless you want it bigger, my preference is the black with green. Or you can not add another border and use that as your binding. Very pretty quilt!

I vote for leaving it as is, it is stunning and I worry that too much border will take away from it. Whatever you decide, it will be beautiful. You did an outstanding job piecing the top.

Leave it as is. No border. The pattern is stunning on its own and does not need any additional detail. Sometimes less is more and this is the time. Beautiful quilt!

I think it needs another border, a wider one than the last one. It looks a bit unfinished otherwise to my eyes.

Furthermore, I also think that your husband is right (sounds like a good one, you should definitely keep him! ) to go with the cream. I think it would look absolutely stunning if you added a border pieced with the same fabrics used in the middle, cut to the same size of squares, about 4 rows wide.

P.S: Nice nail polish BTW!

Stunning quilt. Never saw this quilt pattern before. I think it needs the black but what width, it is hard to tell.

Chalk up another vote for no additional border. I think anything more will detract from that "dahlia" feeling that you like.
