Default Need HELP with borders...

I am making a quilt for my husband’s niece. My hubby ask me to do it a little bigger than I have done, so I decided to add two more borders –a thin white one, and light purple one with a block in the corners.

The question is – do all the borders look OK together? Please, help me to decide…

The borders look great together, and love the cornerstones.

Looks good to me. Just like there are no quilt police, I don't think there are any border police either. Sometimes a quilter isn't certain how you want the borders treated. All as one or each with different pattern. You could be giving that part some thought. The most important thing is do they lay flat and is it square. Measurement of the two diagonal lines should be the same.

I don't like the purple - i think it's too light for the outside border..I feel like the quilt is "unbalanced"....My eye wants to see a darker color on the outside. Think of a stack of something - the "heaviest" item is on the bottom - for me, I think the visually "heaviest" item should be on the outside.

What about repeating the pink polka dot on the outside??? darker shade of purple?

I agree with Becca and Nancy. The dark border seems to "finish" the quilt. I think a darker purple would look better. By the way, your quilt is very nice.
