The following quilt is 60" square and I need it to be 92 x 92 or 95 x 95, so I thought I would just add a border. So I found an Entwined border I like, but it has to be 15" border to make the quilt big enough.

Do you think the border is too big for the center? Does it take away from the design?

Do you have any suggestions for something else?

I think I would make more stars like the center to add outside the green border then ad a final border.

In my humble opinion, a series of smaller borders would maybe not overpower your quilt quite so much as such a dramatic large one. It is a beautiful quilt.

Your quilt is beautiful. I agree with the other folks who replied - I would use a couple smaller borders so as not to draw attention away from the quilt itself.

Oh, P.S. where is Mooresville? I live in Leland, NC, 6 miles outside of Wilmington.

It is 30 miles north of Charlotte.

What if I made another border first, then use a smaller version of the Entwined border?

This one seems to big to me - there are other smaller choices here:

maybe one will appeal to you

Thank you. That is the website I found the Entwined border on. I could make it smaller, but I am having trouble doing the math to make it come out to the right size to keep the design flow!

I would do a smaller entwined border and then another border of the green after it. The entwined border you have now is out of scale with the blocks.
