My mother always warned me against keeping on trying to make things perfect until I ruined them. Now my daughter repeats the same warning to me. What you have is a scrappy quilt. I infer from that term that you really meant pretty much to put things together as you picked them up. Your quilt is lovely as it is, with the blue squares intact. That blue strip does jump out a bit and since it looks like it wouldn't be a life work to shorten it a bit, you might do that. But whether you do, it's still a great quilt! I would put a light brown inner border followed by a darker inner border and bind with black to finish the frame. froggyintexas

i agree... it looks great to me. i'd then put a brownish border on and bind in the blue.

I love the blue squares-It looks like rick-rack but I would shorten the long blue strip & maybe sprinkle more blue in other places. I't going to look Wonderfully scrappy when you're finished!! Good job!
