In the bag I made i did use a thin batting and I did a spoke wheel quilting pattern. It is great to qulit as you can quilt just one shape at a time, hand or machine, then sew them together later (by hand) which is what makes it so portable. Can't wait to see your results.

Hi! Just saw your picture of the quilt you want to do - listed in issue 82 of Quilting Today magazine. Could you please give the name of the pattern? I am so interested in doing this also - I have loads of batik scraps and think this would be beautiful. Is it possible to find out the date of this issue of magazine. Don't get this one, but perhaps friends do or someone else may have the pattern. Thanks so much - I know your quilt will be beautiful.. slimfeather

[QUOTE=Carol Jean;3362605]This post is for the person who was looking for pg. 222, Victory Quilts. If you haven't found it. Just email me and I will send you the instructions. There was a misprint in the book & it was corrected. Many quilting magazines are updated with corrections also. Hope this helps.[/QUOT

do you still have the instructions ?

I believe it was called "Almost a Cathedral Window". I can't remember who posted it, but the pattern came from the Quiling Today magazine, Issue 82 (which is out of print, unfortunately). The original quilt was made (1988?) at a class the person had taken, and was looking for a name of the pattern; no one knew what it was, so they called it Almost Cathedral Windows. The original one had been done all in blues, but this lends itself sooo nicely for scraps. When this was posted about a year ago, I looked for the pattern, also, and did not have any luck locating the magazine itself, but someone from the board sent me a photocopy of the article, so I was able to get the pattern.

I also have this pattern. I would like to sew this by machine but not sure hoe to put it together. I'am now making
the circle one by Fons & Porter called Peek a Boo. Do you know if the Moe-Moe pattern can be put together by machine?

I am late to the party, so to speak, but I would love a copy of this pattern with instructions. I have seen request after request in this thread and a couple of others but not sure anyone actually offered the pattern. I am not very good at making my own templates and figuring out sizes (duh) so I am hoping someone out there has the pattern and is willing to share it. Please let me know. Thanks!
