I had just finished a quilt, trying to decide what to make next, when I found this beautiful quilt online.

    http://www.theoldcountrystore.com/qu...n=&col1=&col2=

Here's another quilt with the same pattern:

Then I spent at least 2 hours trying to find a pattern (and getting side-tracked with other beautiful quilts). The closest I could come was this pattern for a table topper/tree skirt but the picture is so poor I really can't tell if it's the same pattern (at least in the center) or not.

I'm hoping someone will know where to find a pattern for the quilt. There are lots of other quilt patterns with similar names. It looks like a log cabin built around a diamond with a 60 degree point, but it sure would help to have a pattern.

I found this small size pattern Diamond Log Cabin pattern by Cindi Edgerton and it's paper pieced. Here is a link to the pattern.

Thanks. That is another beautiful quilt, and paper piecing would be a good way to go to keep the shape. It's not the same as the one I'm looking for, but it's definitely one to keep in mind for the future.

Thank you for the link. This one builds a log cabin from a triangle shape, and the one I want is from a diamond. The techniques may be very similar though.

Well I haven't found the pattern yet, but I think I have it figured out, at least well enough to try on some not-so-good fabric. Cross your fingers for me.
