Just be careful not to send the message that horses and fathers are of the same importance. That sounds harsh, but I hope you know what I mean...and yes, I know exactly what horses mean to young girls.

I would be more general...something like 'memories warm the heart forever'. Whatever you say, your gift will be treasured. You are very kind to do this.

I kind of was thinking the same thing. Maybe "Memories of loved ones gone will warm the heart forever"..similar to what ghostrider said. Thank you for being so thoughtful to make a quilt for her. Dani

As you ride like the wind with the breeze through your hair
Remember your loved ones will always be there.

I just heard last night from the Non profit leader about the quilt I made for the little girl. Because of the trauma she has gone through her mom said she really did not speak to anyone. After the camp she grabed the phone from her mom and spoke to the Nonprofit owner for 5 minutes. Her mom was in tears they had tried counselers and everything to get her to open up. It is amazing what horses can do to ones spirit. Tears in my eyes to hear that she will now start the road to healing. And the quilt well the first night there her sleeping bag broke and she needed the quilt to keep her extra warm she loved it!! Never take doubt for one minute that the quilts we make do not make a difference. Wether or not we think the ylook good it doesn't matter to the person who needs it. Love is all that matters and once it is sewn into our quilts that is all the recipient sees.

I am a machine embroiderer as well as a quilter, and if you like I could make up a label for you with an embroidered horse and whatever you would like as the wording. I usually put "Stitched with love by ___________ for __________ " and the date. If you think you would like this, PM me.
