A thin border of ivory or something like your ivory flowers would look good in-between the red and brown.

I agree with this! Try it, I bet it would be more pleasing to you too. I like the brown for the final border, but not next to the red...then, if you have enough...bind in the red.

I'm all for a band of ivory (or similar) then the brown. Lovely work by the way.

I like the brown border you can further pull it all together with the thread you quilt it with and the quilt design.

Totally agree with finding an ivory, then maybe the creamy color and the binding in the brown?

The brown works, but doesn't have a lot of "pizazz". I wonder if a lighter off white/ivory fabric that coordinates with the center triangles would work as the wide border? Your cute quilt is bright and cherry and the brown seems to tone it down to me. But it does work if you like it!

I like the brown--it repeats the brown in the quilt. I agree with Mrs Finch--a very narrow silver or cream between the red and brown would look great. I can't tell if the one color in the body of the quilt is cream or silver, but I think that color would look great. You did a very nice job on the quilt--I really like it.

I don't think the brown goes. Sorry, but the quilt is so beautiful, And I don't know what to tell you about fixing it. LOL

Looks good and the brown blends with your blocks very nicely. I really like the pattern.

If you need the added brown border for size, then it is going to be OK. Another suggestion might be to use the background as an inner border and have the red be the outside border. I usually try at least a dozen variation until I find what works for the quilt.

A Good Friend, like an old quilt, is both a Treasure and a Comfort
