Hi Klue,
I did this at a weekend retreat and the instructor was going through a rough patch in her life as well as there being personality conflicts between the organizer and the instructor. The directions from the teacher were all verbal and the noise level was far from conducive as to hearing and thinking about what had just been said. I have my circle put into quarters and have yet to add the bias pieces for the corners. On top of this someone walked away with 1/4 of my pattern at the retreat. I guess it was the experience more than the pattern itself. I can see making another design from the book.
Thanks for asking.
Chris

I too have this collection/medley of fabrics,Freedom Fabric, Celtic Illumination, from Keepsake Quilting. Truly the most beautiful fabric I've ever seen. The colors are blues and browns. I have been freaking out thinking that I would cut it up to make a quilt. eek
Actually I love it so much that I was thinking of possibly making a purse that I could really show off.
After buying the medley, I found yardage at Quilt in a Day, but the colors don't match, sort of aqua blue/gold, which would make a great lining.
I can't help myself, let alone help you decide! I've been stuck for a year!
Best of Luck!

I understand how you feel about cutting on the fabric, it is almost too beautiful to cut on. I have played around with a few ideas in my head and hope to settle on something before long as my goal is to give it to my son for Christmas.
