You could do a basic pieced block in coordinating colors and alternate with plain blocks of the print. Like a 9-patch or friendship star.

Or treat it like a panel. Use a large piece of the print in the middle of the quilt and do pieced borders around it to get to the size you want.

I am presently in the middle of a lighthouse quilt...its a 4 patch with the lighthouse scene fussy cut to the same size of the 4 patch.

I also seen a lighthouse quilt in a magazine last month, forget which magazine, but it was a "windowpane" with matching colored blocks around it.

There are alot of designs for this.

You could try a 12" block, alternating with 9 patches made from 4" squares. I did one and added sashing. I started out doing a Mango Tango, but the prints were pretty busy, so I added the sashing to tone it down. Free pattern is here:

edit: was going to add a pic, but it must be on my other computer. will try to get to it later. :)

here it is!

I would fussy cut the light houses and sash all sides to make them all the same size, then alternate those with a 4 patch, or 9 patch depending on what size the light houses were.

I don't know how much you have but I think a large piece in the middle suroounded by red/yellow/blue boating flags? There is also a very nice design of blue/white lighthouse fabric quilt in The Quilter Magazine. It is in the Aug/Sept issue and it is put together in the attic window design with blue and yellow. It is called "A View of the Bay"

wow, they are all different sizes. perhaps a quilt done in wide strips with alternating solid fabric strips would do well. then you wouldn't have to cut the print too much.
