I have seen on here where someone has the precut plastic to put the fabric on. I got a good deal on the plastic, it is not the same as she uses, I don't think, it is like the plastic that is used to make signs for the yard. Would that be safe to wrap my fabric in? If anyone knows please let me know, I want to make sure before I start cutting it and putting my fabric on the bolts
    Thanks

I think the key is to make sure the plastic is acid free.

I use the plastic sign material to wrap fabric on. It cuts easily with a utility knife to whatever size I want. I don't plan on keeping the fabric on the boards long enough to worry about whether it is acid free. I only wrap fabric pieces larger than 1 yard. I just fold 1 yard and under.

Corrugated plastic, the kind for yard signs, is acid-free. I know because I sold those and specifically asked.

Thank you all for the info. This is the plastic for yard signs. I'm glad you said they are acid free, as I don't know how to check for that.
    Thanks again everyone.

you definitely need to ensure plastic is acid free and if it is colored will not shed that color onto fabric. good luck in getting it all set up

I cut those for Quilting Board Members only. And had a post last week: Check here for available sets. Can be custom cut also.
