Does anyone have this machine or one close in number? I am having trouble loading the bobbin in the case and bringing up the thread. Just need a little help, knowing which way to leave the thread tail upon insertion into the bobbin case...hopefully that is my problem! lol

Thanks a million in advance! :D

Yea, that was the first place I looked and was shocked that the manual wasn't there....although, that is usually my luck! lol Maybe "Avocado Annie" is just too old?

Anyway, she is a vertical bobbin and the needle goes in sideways, in comparison to machines of today. Just mentioning that in case it would help figure out my dilemma.

I have model 158.18130 but am not sure I understand your question. On mine the bobbin loads vertically from the front and rotates counter clockwise in the shuttle.

Thanks for posting this pic, although mine loads from the left side, vertically. Here is what I did....like in my Juki, which one would think loads the same, I loaded the bobbin in the case, pulled thread through the tension, etc. etc....then put bobbin case in the machine with the thread going away from me. When I tried to bring it up, the bobbin thread was all tangled in hook area of where the bobbin case goes into. Perhaps the thread tail needs to come toward me? It can only go one of 2 ways, I guess! lol
