Default Need idea for 30s repro charm packs--bed runner or lap quilt?

I bought 2 packs of Moda's 30s Playtime charms plus two solid fabrics and half yard pieces of two of the patterned fabrics. I want to make a simple bed runner or lap quilt--nothing too elaborate (not a lot of applique ).

I was thinking of alternating patches of solids with the charms, or making half square triangles with solids and charms and playing with the layout of those. I want it to look old time-y for a friend who is into flea market shopping.

I'm looking for inspiration photos or ideas. This will be a Christmas gift, so I have time to think about it. Thanks for your suggestions.

I'm doing "Charleston Pavement" in 30's fabrics, have all but two rows done. Pretty sure I got the digital pattern from Craftsy.

I am going to use up some 30's fabric with this pattern from M*QC: http://quiltingtutorials.com/product...quilting-tool/. I think it will work great with 30's fabric, and you can use the tool with your charm packs.

I love 1930's reproductions and plan on using this pattern, too.

I would search Google and look at all the photos that appear. Great inspiration there.

I work in a quilt shop and we have a 30s hexie quilt hanging in it. The hexies are made with Jenny Doan's 5" half hexie template - super easy and really fun looking with the 30s fabrics.

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll Google them and watch the tutorials at MSQs. I was also thinking i could cut the charms into quarters for nine patches and/or for an Irish chain.

You can do a great bow tie with charm squares.

These Moda charm packs were my first charms purchase. I like that I got so many different fabrics in the charm packs without having to buy them all separately. But I think the pre-cut size limits the blocks that can be made with them. And I didn't have a specific block in mind when I bought them. Makes it hard to decide what to do!
