I just finished a rag throw for my husband. It is flannel on one side and corduroy on the other. I did it in fall colors and appliqued the leaves on, stitching through, with the design showing on the corduroy side. I've made 3-4 other quilts. This is the one my husband likes best. Super easy to do, done in about 3-4 days.

This is an orphan block that I inherited from my mother. I have seen it made up full size and it's gorgeous. I don't have instructions for it, but the small squares finish at 2 inches, the large at 4 inches and the rectangles at 2 by 4. The finished block measures out at 16 by 16

There are four paper-pieced plane blocks at the corners of one of the rows, which I made to commemorate his time in the Air Force in WWII.

He really enjoyed the quilt, and I was happy with how it turned out, too.
You have every reason to be happy with how it turned out, it is manly and very nice, too!
