Can you suggest some ideas for a guild fabric challenge project?
We have done Christmas stockings, and several color challenges. So far nothing has inspired me. I'm in charge of planning and fabric selection.

Is it for Christmas or the holidays or just general?
Have you done the doll quilts yet?

I kinda like the idea of black and white...maybe a medallion quilt in black and white with one accent color.

How about using all Asian fabric with a focal fabric like the BOM at Persimmon quilts? that is the challenge I am doing. I haven't used any Asian fabric nor a focal fabric where you use a fussy cut for the center of each block.

Somebody had a similar request earlier today... this is what I posted for them. You might get some ideas here.

Our guild was part of an Idea Sharing exchange in the spring. Here are some of the suggestions for activities that came out of the sessions.

and the second part is here.

You could choose a theme, a size limit and several fabrics that must be used. Our LQS had one a few years ago called "Peace by Piece" and we had to use four fabrics to create out version of Peace. Results ranged from art quilts, to applique quilts, to traditional block quilts using Dove in the Window, Peace and Plenty, and similar blocks.

Thank you for the list of ideas! I like seeing what other guilds are up to and your lists are full of ideas.
