Has Anyone Made a Quilted Grocery Cart Cover for Babies?
#3
Not yet but I have a pattern, Simplicity 2920. It looks easy to make. I'm thinking of making it a few months after my niece is born so they can use it plus it gives me time in case I make mistakes along the way!

I made one for my grandson. It was pretty easy. I've been a lurker for a couple of years and finally decided I should give a little for all the receiving I've done. I hope the pictures come through ok.

wow, I should have used a pattern! It looks a lot simpler than the one I made, about four years ago.
I went the hard route, and measured a cart and made my own pattern etc.
I wanted it to cover all surfaces and be able to roll it up and velcro closed when finished.
I used prequilted fabric. I did ok, if I do say so myself.

Thank you for the replies, and especially for taking the time to post a photo. I did get a pattern, one by McCalls. Part of the reason I quilt is that I don't like those very delicate tissue patterns! (: I was out today and couldn't resist picking up some baby blue minkee for the inside and the contrasting fabric is baby blue dots on chocolate.
Now, please wish me luck...seriously...I'll need it! (:
